The key buzzword that the business world is hyper-focused on is Artificial Intelligence. That is also true in the CPA industry and we believe there is a solid case to be made for its use to assist us with our work.
Since Jeff started the firm in 2013, one of his main priorities is efficiency – whether that means not wasting time or other resources. He built the firm with the desire to remove as much paper waste from the business as possible (he even donates $100 for every ream of paper we use in the firm). Our internal processes are digital-focused and we assist our clients along the way who aren’t as crazy about A.I. taking over like so many others.
Did you know there is an accountant shortage? Its easy to see why because the work used to be long, boring and tedious. We invest in software to make the data-entry work more efficient; our staff does not want to be stuck like robots manually keying in data all afternoon. This allows us to do more returns in less time and keep costs down which we pass on to our clients.
We use ChatGPT at the firm but not in the way other firms do. We won’t be using it to communicate with our clients – there is nothing worse than getting communication and realizing that it actually wasn’t written by a human. Ever get a phone call from a robot? How annoying! This website? Completely written without the use of A.I. and proud of it!
Our clients like knowing that we don’t let A.I. completely take over our work – otherwise what are they paying us for?
However, we use ChatGPT to save time in writing correspondence with government agencies – where less context is required and more rigid communication is required.
We know that A.I. is here to stay and that it is only going become more ingrained in our lives. We believe that, at this time, there aren’t great solutions to help that we would trust completely with your work. Time and time again our clients come to us seeking solutions because they either trusted A.I. or trusted someone else who just relied on it without having the knowledge to know whether it should be relied on.
We believe in taking the work slow and steady… without shortcuts. But we are also consistently on the look out for better, cost-effective software to make our work more efficient, fun and timely.
